Rosemont Happening - November, 2018

November 2018

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the RAIS faculty and staff, we extend our warm wishes to you and your families as we proceed to our exciting second term. The month of November is traditionally a time to remember and give thanks for all of the wonderful people and events in our lives.

Here is a recap of our progress in October. We had a great time preparing and celebrating the Halloween holiday. In preparation for the event, the children did a lot of art & craft activities and physical activities related to the Halloween theme. We hosted an Open House on Saturday, October 27th entertaining our guests with fun and spooky Halloween activities. We offered Face painting, Limbo, Musical Statue, Ring toss, Pin the stem for the pumpkin, Donut eating race, Wrap the mummy, and the closing activity was the costume contest. We had so much fun playing the game Trick or treat; the children dressed in Halloween costumes and went to knock on the door of neighborhood offices to ask for candies. The office staff were so happy to welcome the little monsters, witches, ghosts…  All the children really enjoyed and and  we had a successful Halloween Day.

We welcome and appreciate our new school chef, Mr. Vinh. He helped us prepare Halloween cookies.  He also made our meals are truly delicious and nutritious.

Our student enrollment is increasing. In the beginning of Term 2, we welcomed Hoang Bach, Linh Anh, Ho Lam (Bi) Aiden and Carrie to Rosemont family.  We look forward to seeing the new children growing and learning with us here at Rosemont. Hoang Bach, Linh Anh, Bi, Carrie and Aiden have done a great job, making friends and enjoying their teachers and staff.

The recap of the weekly themes includes: My teacher, my school chef, emotions, popular jobs. Each theme introduces new vocabulary, explores new math concepts, and engages in various science, art, music, and social activities. The cooking lessons always add a cup of creativity and mixture of play and learning.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we remain very grateful to your family for choosing Rosemont as the premier school for your child. We are committed to providing the best program to meet your child’s learning needs and to prepare the foundation for your child’s future learning.  We hope you share your positive experiences with your family members, friends, and neighbors.

Look forward to sending you our monthly Principal’s newsletters.  We will always have good news to share!

With much joy,

Marian Dondero

Principal
